SANTA MINI SESSION FAQ

WHEN ARE SANTA MINIS?

Sunday, November 7th from 1:30-5:30pm. There will be 12 time slots. Times are reserved on a first come first served basis. A $50 non- refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot.

WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT FOR SANTA MINIS?

Christmas minis with Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus are $200. Payment is due in full no later than November 1st, 2021.

WHAT CHARITY WILL THE SANTA MINIS BENEFIT?

Each mini session, I donate 10% of your session fee to a local charity. The Santa mini sessions will benefit Backpack International & support their holiday program.

WHERE ARE SANTA MINIS?

Santa minis are being held in an outdoor setting at Ivy Hill [50 Chadwick Lane - Auburn, AL]

WHO ARE MINI SESSIONS FOR?

Mini sessions are great for everyone. Mini sessions are super great for families with young kids, as I get them in and out before they have time to get bored [hopefully]. Husbands love mini sessions too because in most cases they are over getting their photo taken within the first two clicks of the shutter. You don’t have to have kids to participate in minis. Bring your friends, pups [leashed] or partner.

HOW MANY FAMILY MEMBERS CAN COME?

While it’s always fun to get family portraits with your extended family, mini sessions are designed to accommodate one household or up to five friends. Larger groups require more time for posing and time is a non-renewable resource. If you would like to include two households, you will need to reserve two time slots.

HOW LONG ARE SANTA MINI SESSIONS?

Each mini session is 20 minutes long. The session will begin with the kids & family visiting with Santa & Mrs. Claus in the styled setup. After everyone has had some quality time with the Claus family, we will head to the field for some candid shots. The shots can include Santa & Mrs. Claus or just be of the family.

WHEN SHOULD WE ARRIVE?

Because I book mini sessions back-to-back, there is no wiggle room. If you are running late, I unfortunately cannot give you extra time during your session since it would push back each session following. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early, that way we can be sure to get all the photos you were hoping for of your beautiful family!.

WHAT IF WE ARE RUNNING BEHIND FOR THE SESSION?

Mini sessions run on a strict schedule. Mini sessions that require booking Santa run on a super dooper strict schedule. Santa must head back to the North Pole at 5:30, so we cannot move any times. Family time slots are booked back-to-back. If you are running a few minutes late, this will eat into your allotted time. We cannot go over your scheduled time, as that will interfere with the next family’s reservation. Please arrive a few minutes early and be camera ready at your scheduled time. Missed times cannot be refunded.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

Most important tip, choose an outfit you’re comfortable in! Have a patterned dress that you love to wear? Great, take colors from within the pattern and bring those colors into your family members outfits. Your family doesn't have to be too matchy-matchy to produce a great photo! Instead, just choose a basic color palette and go from there!  

Cozy is the word I love to use when I think about winter portraits.  With that in mind, try to incorporate something cozy into your outfits.  Flannel is a classic choice.  It never gets old.  Textured sweaters or a scarf with an interesting knit is also a good way to cozy up an ensemble.  Layers are also a good choice, and they add variety to an outfit.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

You’ll receive at least 10 edited images and printing rights for all edited images. I will do my best to get more images, but it will really depend on the kiddos and their temperament.

WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Mini sessions are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled. Please make sure before booking that you are available on the date and time you book! If you absolutely cannot make your session and you cancel with at least 48 hours notice, I will do my best to rebook your spot with a family from the waitlist. If they book your spot, you will receive a refund.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?

I aim to have images ready no later than 2 weeks after the mini session. I will do my best to get them to you sooner. I know you’ll need them ASAP for holiday cards!
