AU Public Relations

Auburn University’s public relations major gives students a hands-on experience by integrating a service-learning component where students work with community partners while honing their skills as a public relations professional. The diverse curriculum prepares students for their careers from research, planning, communication, and evaluation, to strategies and tactics used, the incorporation of multimedia elements, and the application of public relations in society today.

This assignment required me to go outside and look for letterforms in nature. After exploring, I conducted a typestudy to determine which typeface would compliment the shape best.

I found these plant blades that were shaped like a “K” on a walking trail.


 

CAMPAIGN

The Auburn University Bookstore has been hosting a graduation fair on campus for prospective graduates for more than 10 years. Over the past few years, the store has realized that the graduation fair has much more potential and decided to put together a campaign to plot out ways to improve. This campaign study examines how the bookstore can increase awareness and encourage participation. It encompasses a multi-step plan that includes research, planning, tactics and strategies, an evaluation of results and an appendix.

RESEARCH

The purpose of this research was to determine options for a loyalty program for One Eighty Wellness Spa customers that would be cost efficient for the spa as well as valuable for spa customers.  The survey was conducted to determine what One Eighty Wellness Spa customers were looking for regarding a loyalty rewards program. The research conducted will assist One Eighty Wellness Spa in creating and implementing a loyalty rewards program tailored to their clients’ needs.
